How To Install voms-server on Kali Linux

What is voms-server
voms-server is:
The Virtual Organization Membership Service (VOMS) is an attribute authority which serves as central repository for VO user authorization information, providing support for sorting users into group hierarchies, keeping track of their roles and other attributes in order to issue trusted attribute certificates and SAML assertions used in the Grid environment for authorization purposes.
This package provides the VOMS service.
There are three methods to install voms-server on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install voms-server Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install voms-server using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install voms-serverInstall voms-server Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install voms-server using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install voms-serverInstall voms-server Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install voms-server using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install voms-serverHow To Uninstall voms-server on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the voms-server package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove voms-serverUninstall voms-server And Its Dependencies
To uninstall voms-server and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove voms-serverRemove voms-server Configurations and Data
To remove voms-server configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge voms-serverRemove voms-server configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove voms-server configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge voms-serverDependencies
