What is vlgothic-fonts

VLGothic provides Japanese TrueType fonts from the Vine Linux project. Most of the glyphs are taken from the M+ and Sazanami Gothic fonts, but some have also been improved by the project. This package provides the monospace VLGothic font.

We can use yum or dnf to install vlgothic-fonts on AlmaLinux 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install vlgothic-fonts.

Install vlgothic-fonts on AlmaLinux 8 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

Update yum database with yum using the following command.
