on CentOS 7.
What is virt-manager
Virtual Machine Manager provides a graphical tool for administering virtual machines for KVM, Xen, and LXC. Start, stop, add or remove virtual devices, connect to a graphical or serial console, and see resource usage statistics for existing VMs on local or remote machines. Uses libvirt as the backend management API.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install virt-manager
on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install virt-manager.
Install virt-manager on CentOS 7 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
After updating yum database, We can install virt-manager
using yum
by running the following command:

If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first.
