How To Install vim-youcompleteme on Ubuntu 18.04

vim-youcompleteme is:
YouCompleteMe is a fast, as-you-type, fuzzy-search code completion engine for Vim. It has several completion engines: an identifier-based engine that works with every programming language, a semantic, Clang-based engine that provides native semantic code completion for C/C++/Objective-C/Objective-C++ and an omnifunc-based completer that uses data from Vim’s omnicomplete system to provide semantic completions for many other languages (Ruby, PHP etc.).
There are three methods to install vim-youcompleteme on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install vim-youcompleteme Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install vim-youcompleteme using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install vim-youcompleteme
Install vim-youcompleteme Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install vim-youcompleteme using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install vim-youcompleteme
Install vim-youcompleteme Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install vim-youcompleteme using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install vim-youcompleteme
How To Uninstall vim-youcompleteme on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the vim-youcompleteme package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove vim-youcompleteme
Uninstall vim-youcompleteme And Its Dependencies
To uninstall vim-youcompleteme and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove vim-youcompleteme
Remove vim-youcompleteme Configurations and Data
To remove vim-youcompleteme configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge vim-youcompleteme
Remove vim-youcompleteme configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove vim-youcompleteme configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
