How To Install vile on Rocky Linux 8
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install vile
on Rocky Linux 8.
What is vile
vile is a text editor which is extremely compatible with vi in terms of “finger feel”. In addition, it has extended capabilities in many areas, notably multi-file editing and viewing, syntax highlighting, and key rebinding.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install vile

Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install vile
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install vile

sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install vile
using yum
by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install vile

To uninstall only the vile
