How To Install vblade on Ubuntu 18.04
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install vblade on Ubuntu 18.04.
What is vblade
vblade is:
The vblade is the virtual EtherDrive (R) blade, a program that makes a seekable file available over an ethernet local area network (LAN) via the ATA over Ethernet (AoE) protocol.
The seekable file is typically a block device like /dev/md0 but even regular files will work. Sparse files can be especially convenient. When vblade exports the block storage over AoE it becomes a storage target. Another host on the same LAN can access the storage if it has a compatible aoe kernel driver.
There are three methods to install vblade on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install vblade Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install vblade using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install vblade
Install vblade Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install vblade using apt by running the following command:
