How To Install vblade on Kali Linux
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install vblade on Kali Linux.
What is vblade
vblade is:
The vblade is the virtual EtherDrive (R) blade, a program that makes a seekable file available over an ethernet local area network (LAN) via the ATA over Ethernet (AoE) protocol.
The seekable file is typically a block device like /dev/md0 but even regular files will work. Sparse files can be especially convenient. When vblade exports the block storage over AoE it becomes a storage target. Another host on the same LAN can access the storage if it has a compatible aoe kernel driver.
There are three methods to install vblade on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install vblade Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install vblade using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install vbladeInstall vblade Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install vblade using apt by running the following command:

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

To uninstall only the vblade package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove vbladeUninstall vblade And Its Dependencies
To uninstall vblade and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove vbladeRemove vblade Configurations and Data
To remove vblade configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge vbladeRemove vblade configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
