How To Install vbindiff on Debian 9

on Debian 9.
What is vbindiff
vbindiff is:
Visual Binary Diff (VBinDiff) displays files in hexadecimal and ASCII (or EBCDIC). It can also display two files at once, and highlight the differences between them. Unlike diff, it works well with large files (up to 4 GB).
VBinDiff was inspired by the Compare Files function of the ProSel utilities by Glen Bredon, for the Apple II. The single-file mode was inspired by the LIST utility of 4DOS and friends.
There are three methods to install vbindiff
on Debian 9. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Update apt database with apt-get

How To Uninstall vbindiff on Debian 9
To uninstall only the vbindiff
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove vbindiff
Uninstall vbindiff And Its Dependencies
To uninstall vbindiff
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Debian 9, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove vbindiff
Remove vbindiff Configurations and Data
To remove vbindiff
configuration and data from Debian 9 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge vbindiff
