How To Install vala-panel on Ubuntu 20.04

Vala Panel is a rewrite of SimplePanel. It is a GTK+ 3 desktop panel written in Vala and based on ideas from LXPanel.
Vala Panel can be extended with plugins that provide application menus, clock, tasklist, system tray, etc.
There are three methods to install vala-panel
on Ubuntu 20.04. We can use apt-get

and aptitude

Install vala-panel Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install vala-panel
using apt-get

sudo apt-get -y install vala-panel

Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install vala-panel
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install vala-panel
Install vala-panel Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install vala-panel
using aptitude

To uninstall only the vala-panel
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove vala-panel

sudo apt-get -y autoremove vala-panel

To remove vala-panel
configuration and data from Ubuntu 20.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge vala-panel
