In this tutorial we learn how to install v4l-utils
on CentOS 7.
What is v4l-utils
v4l-utils is a collection of various video4linux (V4L) and DVB utilities. The main v4l-utils package contains cx18-ctl, ir-keytable, ivtv-ctl, v4l2-ctl and v4l2-sysfs-path.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install v4l-utils
on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install v4l-utils.
Install v4l-utils on CentOS 7 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
After updating yum database, We can install v4l-utils
using yum
