How To Install utox on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install utox on Kali Linux.
What is utox
utox is:
?Tox is the lightweight client with minimal dependencies; it not only looks pretty, it runs fast! ?Tox is available for Windows, OS X, and Linux (Android support is experimental), with full support for chat, file transfers, audio/video calling, and desktop sharing (both as video and inline screenshots). It also supports text group chats with audio groups pending the next Toxcore update.
There are three methods to install utox on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install utox Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install utox using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install utoxInstall utox Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install utox using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install utoxInstall utox Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install utox using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install utoxHow To Uninstall utox on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the utox package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove utoxUninstall utox And Its Dependencies
To uninstall utox and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove utoxRemove utox Configurations and Data
To remove utox configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge utoxRemove utox configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove utox configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge utoxDependencies
