How To Install uptimed on Debian 10

What is uptimed
uptimed is:
The uptime daemon tracks a system’s highest uptimes via boot IDs, using the system boot time to keep sessions apart from each other. It features a console program to display statistics, and can send mail if a milestone or a new record is reached.
There are three methods to install uptimed
on Debian 10. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install uptimed Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install uptimed
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install uptimed
Install uptimed Using apt
Update apt database with apt

sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install uptimed
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install uptimed
Install uptimed Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude
