What is unixODBC
Install unixODBC if you want to access databases through ODBC. You will also need the mysql-connector-odbc package if you want to access a MySQL database, and/or the postgresql-odbc package for PostgreSQL. Install unixODBC if you want to access databases through ODBC. You will also need the mysql-connector-odbc package if you want to access a MySQL database, and/or the postgresql-odbc package for PostgreSQL.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install unixODBC
on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install unixODBC.

Update yum database with yum
