What is unagi-dbg
unagi-dbg is:
Unagi is a modular compositing manager which aims to be efficient, lightweight and responsive. It is currently written in C programming language and based on XCB library client library. Any existing window manager (such as Awesome) can be used as long as it implements properly EWMH and ICCCM specifications (or at least needed), which is generally the case nowadays.
It also aims to provide a functional and stable software to improve window manager usability from an end-user point of view (for instance windows translucency, application-switcher using live thumbnails instead of plain icons, Expos?…), therefore it does not intend at all to provide useless eye-candy effects.
This package contains the debugging symbols for unagi.
There are three methods to install unagi-dbg
on Debian 9. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install unagi-dbg Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install unagi-dbg
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install unagi-dbg

Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install unagi-dbg

Install unagi-dbg Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install unagi-dbg
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install unagi-dbg
How To Uninstall unagi-dbg on Debian 9
To uninstall only the unagi-dbg
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove unagi-dbg
Uninstall unagi-dbg And Its Dependencies
To uninstall unagi-dbg
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Debian 9, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove unagi-dbg
Remove unagi-dbg Configurations and Data
To remove unagi-dbg
configuration and data from Debian 9 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge unagi-dbg
