How To Install umlet on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install umlet on Kali Linux.
What is umlet
umlet is:
UMLet is a UML tool aimed at providing a fast way of drawing UML diagrams. UML elements are modified using text input instead of pop-up dialogs. Elements can be modified and used as templates; this way, users can easily tailor UMLet to their modeling needs. UMLet supports a variety of UML diagram types: class diagrams, use case diagrams, sequence diagrams, state diagrams, deployment diagrams, activity diagrams, etc.
UMLet can only be used for drawing UML diagrams, it does not support code export or the XMI format. UMLet allows one to export diagrams as images or PDF.
There are three methods to install umlet on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install umlet Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install umlet using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install umletInstall umlet Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install umlet using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install umletInstall umlet Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install umlet using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install umletHow To Uninstall umlet on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the umlet package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove umletUninstall umlet And Its Dependencies
To uninstall umlet and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove umletRemove umlet Configurations and Data
To remove umlet configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge umletRemove umlet configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove umlet configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge umletDependencies
