How To Install ulogd2-dbi on Ubuntu 18.04

ulogd2-dbi is:
ulogd is an advanced netfilter logging daemon. It can act as a replacement for syslog for logging netfilter ruleset violations (via the NFLOG or ULOG iptables targets), can gather per-connection accounting using NFCT, or gather per-rule accounting using NFACCT. Output can be sent to plain text log files, a variety of SQL database formats, XML files, pcap files, syslog, and many other formats.
This module adds DBI support to ulogd. If you install this package, you can send netfilter logs or accounting data to an SQL database via the DBI database abstraction layer.
There are three methods to install ulogd2-dbi on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install ulogd2-dbi Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install ulogd2-dbi using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install ulogd2-dbi
Install ulogd2-dbi Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install ulogd2-dbi using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install ulogd2-dbi
Install ulogd2-dbi Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install ulogd2-dbi using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install ulogd2-dbi
How To Uninstall ulogd2-dbi on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the ulogd2-dbi package we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y purge ulogd2-dbi
Remove ulogd2-dbi configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove ulogd2-dbi configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge ulogd2-dbi
