What is uim-anthy
uim-anthy is:
Uim is an input method module library which supports various scripts and can act as a front end for a range of input methods, including Anthy, Canna, or SKK (for Japanese), Pinyin (for Chinese), Byeoru (for Korean), and M17n (for many other languages). Most of its functions are implemented in Scheme, so it’s very simple and flexible.
This package contains a plugin for uim to support the use of the Japanese input method Anthy.
There are three methods to install uim-anthy
on Debian 10. We can use apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude

sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install uim-anthy
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install uim-anthy
How To Uninstall uim-anthy on Debian 10
To uninstall only the uim-anthy
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove uim-anthy
Uninstall uim-anthy And Its Dependencies
To uninstall uim-anthy
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Debian 10, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove uim-anthy

To remove uim-anthy
configuration and data from Debian 10 we can use the following command:
