How To Install uglify-js1 on CentOS 7

In this tutorial we learn how to install uglify-js1 on CentOS 7.

What is uglify-js1

JavaScript parser, mangler/compressor and beautifier toolkit. This is the classic 1.x version of uglify-js. Consider using the new version provided in the uglify-js package. This package ships the uglifyjs command-line tool and a library suitable for use within Node.js.

We can use yum or dnf to install uglify-js1 on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install uglify-js1.

Install uglify-js1 on CentOS 7 Using yum

Update yum database with yum using the following command.

sudo yum makecache

After updating yum database, We can install uglify-js1 using yum by running the following command:

sudo yum -y install uglify-js1

Install uglify-js1 on CentOS 7 Using dnf

If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first. Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache

After updating yum database, We can install uglify-js1 using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install uglify-js1

How To Uninstall uglify-js1 on CentOS 7

To uninstall only the uglify-js1 package we can use the following command:

sudo dnf remove uglify-js1
