How To Install ucview on CentOS 7
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install ucview
on CentOS 7.
What is ucview
UCView is a video image capture application using the unicap toolkit. It provides a simple way to parametrise the video device, can capture still images from the video stream or record the stream as mpeg file. By using unicap, it can access many different video capture devices like webcams, video grabber boards, IEEE-1394 (FireWire) cameras and others.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install ucview
on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install ucview.
Install ucview on CentOS 7 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
After updating yum database, We can install ucview
using yum
by running the following command:

If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first.
