How To Install txt2man on Ubuntu 18.04

What is txt2man
txt2man is:
txt2man is program that converts simple texts to manpages easily. The syntax of the ASCII text should looks like the output provided by man(1) program. So, you need write a text file using a visual approach of a manpage and txt2man will convert it. The txt2man(1) manpage is short and sufficient to understand how the program works.
A command to extract comments from source code (src2man) and a command to build an indexed volume from a set of manpages (bookman) are also provided by this package.
txt2man is very useful for programmers and Debian packaging.
There are three methods to install txt2man
on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude

Install txt2man Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get

After updating apt database, We can install txt2man

Install txt2man Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude

After updating apt database, We can install txt2man
using aptitude

sudo aptitude -y install txt2man
How To Uninstall txt2man on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the txt2man
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove txt2man
Uninstall txt2man And Its Dependencies
To uninstall txt2man
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove txt2man
Remove txt2man Configurations and Data
To remove txt2man
configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge txt2man
