How To Install twofi on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install twofi on Kali Linux.

When attempting to crack passwords custom word lists are very useful additions to standard dictionaries. An interesting idea originally released on the “7 Habits of Highly Effective Hackers” blog was to use Twitter to help generate those lists based on searches for keywords related to the list that is being cracked. I’ve expanded this idea into twofi which will take multiple search terms and return a word list sorted by most common first.
There are three methods to install twofi on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install twofi Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install twofi using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install twofiInstall twofi Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install twofi using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install twofiInstall twofi Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install twofi using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install twofiHow To Uninstall twofi on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the twofi package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove twofiUninstall twofi And Its Dependencies
To uninstall twofi and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove twofiRemove twofi Configurations and Data
To remove twofi configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge twofiRemove twofi configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove twofi configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge twofiDependencies
