How To Install tuxonice-userui on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install tuxonice-userui on Kali Linux.
What is tuxonice-userui
tuxonice-userui is:
TuxOnIce is an alternative implementation to suspend a Linux machine by writing its state to memory for later resuming. A kernel patch for TuxOnIce is available separately.
This package contains several user interfaces which improve the user’s experience during the suspend and resume processes. It also adds TuxOnIce support to initramfs and provides a way to configure TuxOnIce settings.
There are three methods to install tuxonice-userui on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install tuxonice-userui Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install tuxonice-userui using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install tuxonice-useruiInstall tuxonice-userui Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install tuxonice-userui using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install tuxonice-useruiInstall tuxonice-userui Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install tuxonice-userui using aptitude by running the following command:

To uninstall only the tuxonice-userui package we can use the following command:

To uninstall tuxonice-userui and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove tuxonice-useruiRemove tuxonice-userui Configurations and Data
To remove tuxonice-userui configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge tuxonice-useruiRemove tuxonice-userui configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove tuxonice-userui configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge tuxonice-useruiDependencies
