How To Install tupi-data on Ubuntu 18.04

What is tupi-data
tupi-data is:
Tupi: 2D Magic is a design and authoring tool for digital artists interested in 2D Animation, offering an interface experience focused on 8-100 years old kids. It’s source code is based on the KTooN project.
Some of its main features are: basic illustration tools (shapes, fill, text), gradient tools, onion skin, brushes editor, pencil with smoothness support, basic object library (for svg files and raster images) and many others.
Using its modules of Animation and Reproduction you can export 2D projects to several formats as OGG, MPEG, AVI, MOV and SWF. Additionally, the option of exporting Image arrays as output is available.
This package contains tupi’s arch-independent files.
There are three methods to install tupi-data
on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install tupi-data Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install tupi-data
using apt-get

sudo apt-get -y install tupi-data

After updating apt database, We can install tupi-data

sudo apt -y install tupi-data
Install tupi-data Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install tupi-data
using aptitude
by running the following command:

How To Uninstall tupi-data on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the tupi-data
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove tupi-data
Uninstall tupi-data And Its Dependencies
To uninstall tupi-data
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove tupi-data
Remove tupi-data Configurations and Data
To remove tupi-data
configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge tupi-data
Remove tupi-data configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove tupi-data
configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge tupi-data
