How To Install tup on Kali Linux

on Kali Linux.
What is tup
tup is:
Tup is a file-based build system for Linux, OSX, and Windows. It takes as input a list of file changes and a directed acyclic graph (DAG). It then processes the DAG to execute the appropriate commands required to update dependent files. Updates are performed with very little overhead since tup implements powerful build algorithms to avoid doing unnecessary work. This means you can stay focused on your project rather than on your build system.
There are three methods to install tup
on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install tup Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install tup
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install tup

using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install tup
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install tup
Install tup Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install tup
using aptitude

sudo aptitude -y install tup
How To Uninstall tup on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the tup
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove tup
Uninstall tup And Its Dependencies
To uninstall tup
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove tup
Remove tup Configurations and Data
To remove tup
configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge tup
Remove tup configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
