How To Install tuned-utils-systemtap on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install tuned-utils-systemtap on Kali Linux.
What is tuned-utils-systemtap
tuned-utils-systemtap is:
The tuned package contains a daemon that tunes system settings dynamically. It does so by monitoring the usage of several system components periodically. Based on that information components will then be put into lower or higher power saving modes to adapt to the current usage. Currently only ethernet network and ATA harddisk devices are implemented.
This package contains several systemtap scripts to allow detailed manual monitoring of the system. Instead of the typical IO/sec it collects minimal, maximal and average time between operations to be able to identify applications that behave power inefficient (many small operations instead of fewer large ones).
There are three methods to install tuned-utils-systemtap on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install tuned-utils-systemtap Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install tuned-utils-systemtap using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install tuned-utils-systemtapInstall tuned-utils-systemtap Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install tuned-utils-systemtap using apt by running the following command:

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

To uninstall only the tuned-utils-systemtap package we can use the following command:

To uninstall tuned-utils-systemtap and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove tuned-utils-systemtapRemove tuned-utils-systemtap Configurations and Data
To remove tuned-utils-systemtap configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge tuned-utils-systemtapRemove tuned-utils-systemtap configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
