What is ttf2ufm

ttf2ufm is:

Ttf2ufm is a font converter from the True Type format (and some other formats supported by the FreeType library as well) to the Adobe Type1 format. Ttf2ufm is a modified version of Mark Heath’s TTF 2 PT1 converter. It allows one to create AFM and/or UFM files.

There are three methods to install ttf2ufm on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install ttf2ufm Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

sudo aptitude update

After updating apt database, We can install ttf2ufm using aptitude by running the following command:

sudo aptitude -y install ttf2ufm

How To Uninstall ttf2ufm on Ubuntu 18.04

To uninstall only the ttf2ufm package we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get remove ttf2ufm

Uninstall ttf2ufm And Its Dependencies

To uninstall ttf2ufm and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove ttf2ufm

Remove ttf2ufm Configurations and Data

To remove ttf2ufm configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y purge ttf2ufm
