Trimage is a cross-platform GUI and command-line interface to optimize image files via optipng, advpng, pngcrush and jpegoptim, depending on the filetype (currently, PNG and JPG files are supported). All image files are losslessly compressed on the highest available compression levels. Trimage gives you various input functions to fit your own workflow: A regular file dialog, dragging and dropping and various command line options.

There are three methods to install trimage on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install trimage Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install trimage using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install trimage

Install trimage Using apt

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

sudo apt update

After updating apt database, We can install trimage using apt by running the following command:

sudo apt -y install trimage

Install trimage Using aptitude
