How To Install trayer on Ubuntu 18.04

What is trayer
trayer is:
trayer is a small program designed to provide systray functionality present in GNOME/KDE desktop environments for window managers which do not support that function. System tray is a place, where various applications put their icons, so they are always visible presenting status of applications and allowing user to control programs.
The code started out as an extraction from fbpanel.
There are three methods to install trayer
on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude

Install trayer Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get

sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install trayer
using apt-get

sudo apt-get -y install trayer

After updating apt database, We can install trayer
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install trayer
Install trayer Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install trayer

How To Uninstall trayer on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the trayer
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove trayer
Uninstall trayer And Its Dependencies
To uninstall trayer
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove trayer
Remove trayer Configurations and Data
To remove trayer
configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge trayer
Remove trayer configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove trayer
configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge trayer
