How To Install tpb on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install tpb on Kali Linux.

What is tpb

tpb is:

This program enables the IBM Thinkpad(tm) special keys. It is possible to bind a program to the ThinkPad button. It has a on-screen display (OSD) to show volume, mute and brightness of the LCD.

There are three methods to install tpb on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install tpb Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install tpb using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install tpb

Install tpb Using apt

sudo apt update

After updating apt database, We can install tpb using apt by running the following command:

sudo apt -y install tpb

Install tpb Using aptitude
