What is torque-docs

TORQUE (Tera-scale Open-source Resource and QUEue manager) is a resource manager providing control over batch jobs and distributed compute nodes. TORQUE is based on OpenPBS version 2.3.12 and incorporates scalability, fault tolerance, and feature extension patches provided by USC, NCSA, OSC, the U.S. Dept of Energy, Sandia, PNNL, U of Buffalo, TeraGrid, and many other leading edge HPC organizations. This package holds the documentation files.

We can use yum or dnf to install torque-docs on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install torque-docs.

Install torque-docs on CentOS 7 Using yum

Update yum database with yum using the following command.

sudo yum makecache

After updating yum database, We can install torque-docs using yum by running the following command:

sudo yum -y install torque-docs

Install torque-docs on CentOS 7 Using dnf

If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first. Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache

After updating yum database, We can install torque-docs using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install torque-docs

How To Uninstall torque-docs on CentOS 7

To uninstall only the torque-docs package we can use the following command:

sudo dnf remove torque-docs
