In this tutorial we learn how to install tmux
on CentOS 7.
What is tmux
tmux is a “terminal multiplexer.” It enables a number of terminals (or windows) to be accessed and controlled from a single terminal. tmux is intended to be a simple, modern, BSD-licensed alternative to programs such as GNU Screen.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install tmux
on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install tmux.

Update yum database with yum
