What is tmfs

tmfs is:

Time Machine File System is a read-only virtual filesystem which helps you to read your Apple Time Machine Backup by reconstructing the hard-linked directories from the HFS+ metadata directory.

You can browse the tmfs mounted Time Machine normally and easily recover data from any backup point contained within.

There are three methods to install tmfs on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install tmfs Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install tmfs using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install tmfs
