How To Install tkremind on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install tkremind on Kali Linux.
What is tkremind
tkremind is:
Remind allows you to remind yourself of upcoming events and appointments. Each reminder or alarm can consist of a message sent to standard output, or a program to be executed.
It also features: sophisticated date calculation, moon phases, sunrise/sunset, Hebrew calendar, alarms, PostScript output, tcl/tk front-end and proper handling of holidays.
Tkremind provides a GUI which allows viewing a calendar and adding or editing reminders without learning the syntax of Remind.
There are three methods to install tkremind on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install tkremind Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install tkremind using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install tkremindInstall tkremind Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install tkremind using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install tkremindInstall tkremind Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install tkremind using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install tkremindHow To Uninstall tkremind on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the tkremind package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove tkremindUninstall tkremind And Its Dependencies
To uninstall tkremind and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove tkremindRemove tkremind Configurations and Data
To remove tkremind configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge tkremindRemove tkremind configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove tkremind configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge tkremindDependencies
