How To Install tix on AlmaLinux 8

What is tix
Tix, the Tk Interface eXtension, is a powerful set of user interface components that expands the capabilities of your Tcl/Tk and Python applications. Using Tix together with Tk will greatly enhance the appearance and functionality of your application.
We can use yum or dnf to install tix on AlmaLinux 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install tix.
Install tix on AlmaLinux 8 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install tix using dnf by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install tix
Install tix on AlmaLinux 8 Using yum
Update yum database with yum using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install tix using yum by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install tix
How To Uninstall tix on AlmaLinux 8
To uninstall only the tix package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove tix
