How To Install tinysshd on Ubuntu 18.04

In this tutorial we learn how to install tinysshd on Ubuntu 18.04.
What is tinysshd
tinysshd is:
TinySSH is a minimalistic SSH server which implements only a subset of SSHv2 features. TinySSH supports only secure cryptography (minimum 128-bit security, protected against cache-timing attacks) ED25519, Curve25519(X25519), CHACHA20POLY1305, also older standard NISTP256 ECDSA, NISTP256 ECDH, AES256 + HMAC-SHA256. TinySSH implements only safe public-key authentication, password or hostbased authentication is not implemented. TinySSH has less than 100000 words of code, so it’s very easily auditable.
There are three methods to install tinysshd on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install tinysshd Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install tinysshd using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install tinysshd
Install tinysshd Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install tinysshd using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install tinysshd
Install tinysshd Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

sudo apt-get -y autoremove tinysshd
Remove tinysshd Configurations and Data
To remove tinysshd configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge tinysshd
