How To Install tinymux on Ubuntu 18.04

What is tinymux
tinymux is:
This is the TinyMUX flavor of mud servers of the MUSH branch. It provides a number of robust features to enable players to extend the virtual world. This is done by building new rooms and objects, and utilizing its internal programming language, MUSHcode.
TinyMUX does not provide a superset of all the features available in other MUSH flavors, but those it does implement provide a stable and robust environment that performs as well or better than that of its peers.
There are three methods to install tinymux
on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install tinymux Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install tinymux
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install tinymux
Install tinymux Using apt
Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install tinymux
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install tinymux
Install tinymux Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude

sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install tinymux

How To Uninstall tinymux on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the tinymux
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove tinymux
Uninstall tinymux And Its Dependencies
To uninstall tinymux
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove tinymux
Remove tinymux Configurations and Data
To remove tinymux
configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge tinymux
Remove tinymux configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove tinymux
configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge tinymux
