How To Install timemachine on Kali Linux
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install timemachine on Kali Linux.
What is timemachine
timemachine is:
Timemachine writes the last 10 seconds of audio before the button press and everything from now on up to the next button press into a WAV-file.
The idea is that you doodle away with whatever is kicking around in your studio and when you heard an interesting noise, you’d press record and capture it, without having to try and recreate it.
It uses the JACK audio connection kit, an API that lets audio application communicate with each other and share audio data in realtime.
There are three methods to install timemachine on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install timemachine Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install timemachine using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install timemachineInstall timemachine Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install timemachine using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install timemachineInstall timemachine Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install timemachine using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install timemachineHow To Uninstall timemachine on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the timemachine package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove timemachineUninstall timemachine And Its Dependencies
To uninstall timemachine and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove timemachineRemove timemachine Configurations and Data
To remove timemachine configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge timemachineRemove timemachine configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove timemachine configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge timemachineDependencies
