How To Install tig on Ubuntu 18.04

What is tig
tig is:
This package contains a text-mode interface for the version control system Git. It may be used to browse the history and contents of a repository.
The following main features are supported:

- Merge files.
- Cherry-pick commits.
tig may also be used as a pager. It reads input from stdin and colorizes it.
There are three methods to install tig on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install tig Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install tig using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install tig

After updating apt database, We can install tig using apt by running the following command:

Install tig Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

After updating apt database, We can install tig using aptitude by running the following command:

How To Uninstall tig on Ubuntu 18.04
