How To Install thunderbird on Kali Linux

What is thunderbird
thunderbird is:
Thunderbird is an mail client suitable for free distribution. The goal of Thunderbird is to produce a cross platform stand-alone mail application using the XUL user interface language. It supports different mail accounts, no matter of the used protocol like POP(s) or IMAP(s), has an integrated learning Spam filter, and offers easy organization of mails with tagging and virtual folders. Also, more features can be added by installing extensions.
Thunderbird also includes an integrated calendar for handling events, events invitations and tasks in multiple calendars. It supports local calendars, CalDAV and plain ics files on CardDAV and WebDAV.
The goal of Thunderbird is to produce a cross platform standalone mail application using the XUL user interface language.
There are three methods to install thunderbird on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install thunderbird Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install thunderbird using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install thunderbirdInstall thunderbird Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install thunderbird using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install thunderbirdInstall thunderbird Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install thunderbird using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install thunderbirdHow To Uninstall thunderbird on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the thunderbird package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove thunderbirdUninstall thunderbird And Its Dependencies
To uninstall thunderbird and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove thunderbirdRemove thunderbird Configurations and Data
To remove thunderbird configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge thunderbirdRemove thunderbird configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove thunderbird configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
