What is thrift
The Apache Thrift software framework for cross-language services development combines a software stack with a code generation engine to build services that work efficiently and seamlessly between C++, Java, Python, and other languages.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install thrift
on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install thrift.

Update yum database with yum

After updating yum database, We can install thrift

If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first.
