What is tharlon-fonts
TharLon is an authentic Myanmar typeface which covers several languages, such as Burmese, Mon, Shan, Karen, Pa’o, Asho Chin, Kayah and Karenni, for use on the web and in all other digital typography software. The name TharLon was the name of the King who standardized the units of measurement during the ancient Burmese Kingdom Era. The TharLon font is designed by Ngwe Tun, and distributed under the SIL Open Font License with the Reserved Font Name ‘TharLon’.
We can use yum or dnf to install tharlon-fonts on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install tharlon-fonts.
Install tharlon-fonts on CentOS 7 Using yum
Update yum database with yum using the following command.
sudo yum makecache
After updating yum database, We can install tharlon-fonts using yum by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install tharlon-fonts
Install tharlon-fonts on CentOS 7 Using dnf
If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first.
Update yum database with dnf using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache
After updating yum database, We can install tharlon-fonts using dnf by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install tharlon-fonts
How To Uninstall tharlon-fonts on CentOS 7
To uninstall only the tharlon-fonts package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove tharlon-fonts
