How To Install tf on Kali Linux
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install tf on Kali Linux.
What is tf
tf is:
TinyFugue (also known as “Fugue” or “TF”) is a line-based client designed for connecting to MUD servers (note: LP, Diku, and other servers which use prompts require “/lp on”; see /help prompts).
TinyFugue is larger than most MUD clients, but has many more features and is much more flexible. The goal is to provide the most functionality in a client that still maintains the user-friendliness of Tinytalk.
There are three methods to install tf on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install tf Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install tf using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install tfInstall tf Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install tf using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install tfInstall tf Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install tf using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install tfHow To Uninstall tf on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the tf package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove tfUninstall tf And Its Dependencies
To uninstall tf and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove tfRemove tf Configurations and Data
To remove tf configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge tfRemove tf configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
