The WASY2 (Waldi Symbol) font by Roland Waldi provides many glyphs like male and female symbols and astronomical symbols, as well as the complete lasy font set and other odds and ends. The wasysym package implements an easy to use interface for these symbols.

We can use yum or dnf to install texlive-wasysym on AlmaLinux 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install texlive-wasysym.

Install texlive-wasysym on AlmaLinux 8 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

After updating yum database, We can install texlive-wasysym using dnf by running the following command:

Install texlive-wasysym on AlmaLinux 8 Using yum

Update yum database with yum using the following command.

sudo yum makecache --refresh

How To Uninstall texlive-wasysym on AlmaLinux 8

To uninstall only the texlive-wasysym package we can use the following command:

sudo dnf remove texlive-wasysym
