What is texlive-ulem
The package provides an \ul (underline) command which will break over line ends; this technique may be used to replace \em (both in that form and as the \emph command), so as to make output look as if it comes from a typewriter. The package also offers double and wavy underlining, and striking out (line through words) and crossing out (/// over words). The package works with both Plain TeX and LaTeX.
We can use yum or dnf to install texlive-ulem on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install texlive-ulem.
Install texlive-ulem on CentOS 8 Using yum
Update yum database with yum using the following command.
sudo yum makecache
After updating yum database, We can install texlive-ulem using yum by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install texlive-ulem
Install texlive-ulem on CentOS 8 Using dnf
If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first.
Update yum database with dnf using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache
After updating yum database, We can install texlive-ulem using dnf by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install texlive-ulem
How To Uninstall texlive-ulem on CentOS 8
To uninstall only the texlive-ulem package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove texlive-ulem
