How To Install texlive-tabulary on CentOS 8
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install texlive-tabulary on CentOS 8.
What is texlive-tabulary
The package defines a tabular*-like environment, tabulary, taking a ’total width’ argument as well as the column specifications. The environment uses column types L, C, R and J for variable width columns (\raggedright’, \centering, \raggedleft, and normally justified). In contrast to tabularx’s X columns, the width of each column is weighted according to the natural width of the widest cell in the column.
We can use yum or dnf to install texlive-tabulary on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install texlive-tabulary.
Install texlive-tabulary on CentOS 8 Using yum
Update yum database with yum using the following command.
sudo yum makecache
After updating yum database, We can install texlive-tabulary using yum by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install texlive-tabulary
Install texlive-tabulary on CentOS 8 Using dnf
If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first.
Update yum database with dnf using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache
After updating yum database, We can install texlive-tabulary using dnf by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install texlive-tabulary
How To Uninstall texlive-tabulary on CentOS 8
To uninstall only the texlive-tabulary package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove texlive-tabulary
