What is texlive-rsfs

The fonts provide uppercase ‘formal’ script letters for use as symbols in scientific and mathematical typesetting (in contrast to the informal script fonts such as that used for the ‘calligraphic’ symbols in the TeX maths symbol font). The fonts are provided as MetaFont source, and as derived Adobe Type 1 format. LaTeX support, for using these fonts in mathematics, is available via one of the packages calrsfs and mathrsfs. date

We can use yum or dnf to install texlive-rsfs on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install texlive-rsfs.

Install texlive-rsfs on CentOS 7 Using yum

Update yum database with yum using the following command.

sudo yum makecache

After updating yum database, We can install texlive-rsfs using yum by running the following command:

sudo yum -y install texlive-rsfs

Install texlive-rsfs on CentOS 7 Using dnf

If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first. Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache

After updating yum database, We can install texlive-rsfs using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install texlive-rsfs

How To Uninstall texlive-rsfs on CentOS 7

To uninstall only the texlive-rsfs package we can use the following command:

sudo dnf remove texlive-rsfs
