What is texlive-lato

Lato is a sanserif typeface family designed in the Summer 2010 by Warsaw-based designer Lukasz Dziedzic for the tyPoland foundry. This font, which includes five weights (hairline, light, regular, bold and black), is available from the Google Font Directory as TrueType files under the Open Font License version 1.1. The package provides support for this font in LaTeX. It includes the original TrueType fonts, as well as Type 1 versions, converted for this package using FontForge for full support with Dvips.

We can use yum or dnf to install texlive-lato on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install texlive-lato.

Install texlive-lato on CentOS 7 Using yum

Update yum database with yum using the following command.

sudo yum makecache

After updating yum database, We can install texlive-lato using yum by running the following command:

sudo yum -y install texlive-lato

Install texlive-lato on CentOS 7 Using dnf

If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first. Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache

After updating yum database, We can install texlive-lato using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install texlive-lato

How To Uninstall texlive-lato on CentOS 7

To uninstall only the texlive-lato package we can use the following command:

sudo dnf remove texlive-lato
