What is texlive-import
The commands \import{full_path}{file} and \subimport{path_extension}{file} set up input through standard LaTeX mechanisms (\input, \include and \includegraphics) to load files relative to the \import-ed directory. There are also \includefrom, \subincludefrom, and * variants of the commands.
We can use yum or dnf to install texlive-import on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install texlive-import.
Install texlive-import on CentOS 8 Using yum
Update yum database with yum using the following command.
sudo yum makecache
After updating yum database, We can install texlive-import using yum by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install texlive-import
Install texlive-import on CentOS 8 Using dnf
If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first.
Update yum database with dnf using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache
After updating yum database, We can install texlive-import using dnf by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install texlive-import
How To Uninstall texlive-import on CentOS 8
To uninstall only the texlive-import package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove texlive-import
