What is texlive-fontspec

Fontspec is a package for XeLaTeX and LuaLaTeX. It provides an automatic and unified interface to feature-rich AAT and OpenType fonts through the NFSS in LaTeX running on XeTeX or LuaTeX engines. The package requires the l3kernel and xparse bundles from the LaTeX 3 development team. date

We can use yum or dnf to install texlive-fontspec on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install texlive-fontspec.

Install texlive-fontspec on CentOS 7 Using yum

Update yum database with yum using the following command.

sudo yum makecache

After updating yum database, We can install texlive-fontspec using yum by running the following command:

sudo yum -y install texlive-fontspec

Install texlive-fontspec on CentOS 7 Using dnf

If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first. Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache

After updating yum database, We can install texlive-fontspec using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install texlive-fontspec

How To Uninstall texlive-fontspec on CentOS 7

To uninstall only the texlive-fontspec package we can use the following command:

sudo dnf remove texlive-fontspec
