on AlmaLinux 8.
What is texlive-fmtcount
The package provides commands that display the value of a LaTeX counter in a variety of formats (ordinal, text, hexadecimal, decimal, octal, binary etc). The package offers some multilingual support; configurations for use in English (both British and American usage), French (including Belgian and Swiss variants), German, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish documents are provided. This package was originally provided as part of the author’s datetime package, but is now distributed separately.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install texlive-fmtcount
on AlmaLinux 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install texlive-fmtcount.

Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install texlive-fmtcount
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install texlive-fmtcount
Install texlive-fmtcount on AlmaLinux 8 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install texlive-fmtcount
using yum
by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install texlive-fmtcount
How To Uninstall texlive-fmtcount on AlmaLinux 8
To uninstall only the texlive-fmtcount
package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove texlive-fmtcount
